What beginners get wrong in Arabic
Where ال goes
The definite article is joined to the word: الكتاب, the book. The word lists give nouns without it, except the days of the week, which always take it: الاثنين.
Feminine nouns without ة
Most feminine nouns end in ة, but some do not: عين (eye), يد (hand), شمس (sun). The word lists record each noun's gender.
Letters that change shape
Each letter joins its neighbours and takes a different shape at the start, middle and end of a word. The sheets print joined script, as pupils will read it.
